Health and Safety Curricula for Washington State

Health and Safety Awareness for Working Teens
This comprehensive curriculum provides students with basic health and safety awareness skills that can be used in any workplace or classroom. The flexible curriculum is divided into four separate modules. Topics covered include identifying and controlling workplace hazards and legal rights for working teens. Lessons are interactive and include activities such as hazard mapping, role-playing, and games. Designed for grades 9-12.

Workplace Ergonomics and Healthy Computing for Teenagers
This activity-based lesson introduces students to the basic concepts of ergonomics and how to prevent repetitive stress-related injuries. The lesson includes hands on activities to demonstrate ergonomics concepts when working with computers and ways to minimize injuries related to computer usage. Click here for ordering information.
