Questions You Should Ask Your Employer:
Every worker needs to know about the health and safety program where they work. Here are some things that you need to know. You may learn them during your interview or during your job orientation. If not, ask your supervisor.

  • What are the hazards of my job?

  • What should I do if I get hurt at work?

  • Who do I ask if I have a safety or health question?

  • Are there any chemicals in the workplace?

  • When will I receive training on any safety gear I'll need to use?

  • When will I receive training on any chemical products I'll need to use?

  • What should I do if I see something I think is dangerous?

  • We can send you a free pocket card to keep in your wallet that lists these questions and some phone numbers to call if you have questions. To request a pocket card, email Darren Linker at dlinker@u.washington.edu.
